About The Position

WASH Pros is hiring a Service Technician to provide mechanical repairs to washers and dryers at customer locations in an assigned region. The role involves testing and repairing malfunctioning machines, keeping equipment running smoothly, and meeting customer expectations. The ideal candidate enjoys field work and working independently and has strong mechanical aptitude. Training and advancement opportunities are available.

Requirements

Good driving record.
Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
Effective English communication skills, both oral and written.
At least 2 years of mechanical experience and electrical knowledge and/or training.
Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and occasionally move 200 pounds or more using a dolly or hand truck.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish.
Prior washer/dryer repair experience.

Responsibilities

Test and repair malfunctioning washers and dryers in the field.
Use test equipment to determine machine condition.
Inspect machines during operating cycles for excess vibration, overheating, fluid leaks, and loose parts.
Disassemble machines and examine mechanical and electrical parts.
Replace worn or defective parts, including switches, pumps, bearings, transmissions, belts, gears, blowers, and wiring.
Replace and adjust motors.
Reassemble appliances, adjust pulleys, and lubricate moving parts.
Advise the dispatch department when field equipment should be replaced.
Drive a company vehicle to and from work locations.
Maintain company vehicle fluid levels and tire pressure, and keep the vehicle clean.
Maintain stocks of replacement parts for servicing coin-operated washers and dryers.
Contact apartment managers and customers to support good customer relations.
