About The Position

Blossman Gas & Appliance is seeking Service Technicians or Service Apprentices for their new location in Franklin, NC. This is an opportunity to build a career with a stable, established company that is the largest independent propane company in America with over 85 branch locations in 12 states. Service Technicians install propane tanks for residential and commercial customers, and service/maintain gas comfort equipment like water heaters, dryers, ranges/stoves, fireplaces, and generators. Apprentices will work alongside experienced technicians, learning hands-on, and participate in classroom and online learning. Apprenticeship positions can lead to Service Technician, Senior Service Technician, and Master Technician status upon meeting educational requirements. The Service Technician role requires customer service skills, occasional on-call duty, and a commitment to safety. Apprenticeship positions do not require experience but benefit from prior mechanical work, tool usage, and a positive attitude towards learning a trade.

Requirements

Prior propane experience (for Service Technician).
Prior appliance installation/repair experience (for Service Technician).
Prior mechanical experience (for Service Technician).
Customer service skills.
Strong commitment to safety.
Prior mechanical work (for Apprentices).
Use of hand tools (for Apprentices).
Commitment to learning a career trade (for Apprentices).
Positive attitude (for Apprentices).

Responsibilities

Install propane tanks for residential and commercial customers.
