About The Position

Atlas Bobcat, part of the Atlas Companies, is currently hiring full-time Service Technicians to join our team. We are looking for individuals who enjoy working with their hands, solving mechanical problems, and building a long-term career. Construction equipment experience is preferred, but automotive, diesel, farm equipment, heavy equipment, and industrial mechanics are encouraged to apply. As a leader in the compact equipment industry, Atlas Bobcat takes pride in providing exceptional quality service for heavy-duty, compact equipment in the Chicagoland area.

Requirements

  • General mechanical knowledge and experience; experience with hydraulics, electrical or drive systems is preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment in construction, industrial, automotive, or related industries.
  • Strong communications skills.
  • A willingness to learn and be trained.
  • The ability to manage time and attendance.
  • You must be dependable, self-motivated and be able to work in a team environment.
  • This position requires but is not limited to standing, bending, crouching, twisting, pulling, pushing, and lifting to 80 lbs., routinely 20-50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues on Bobcat compact construction equipment using manufacturer diagnostic software and tools.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
  • Complete service repair assignments in timely manner.
  • Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation and performance.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all products sold and serviced by Atlas Bobcat.
  • Keep the Service Lead informed of current and potential issues related to service repairs, parts requirements, and customer concerns.
  • Maintain an inventory of necessary and customary technician tools in good working condition.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all company and OSHA safety guidelines.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
