About The Position

Anaheim Hyundai is hiring a Class C service technician to work in its used-vehicle reconditioning shop. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, completing repair orders efficiently and accurately to manufacturer standards, performing repairs without oversight, and diagnosing minor malfunctions. The technician communicates repair and maintenance recommendations to the assigned service advisor and reports to the Service Manager, who provides ongoing coaching. The position offers a flat-rate pay plan of $28 per hour, with eligibility for short- and/or long-term incentives, including production and productivity bonuses. The schedule is Monday through Saturday, with shifts of 7 a.m.–4 p.m., 8 a.m.–5 p.m., or 9 a.m.–6 p.m.; the set schedule is to be determined.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as an express or quick-lube technician.
• Basic mechanical understanding of automobiles.
• Ability to operate different car models, light trucks, and vans.
• Ability to operate both manual- and automatic-transmission vehicles.
• Focus on accuracy, efficiency, and completing assigned tasks.
• Team-oriented approach and focus on providing outstanding customer service.
• Valid driver's license in the state of residence and an acceptable driving record.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Hyundai or Genesis vehicles.
• Hyundai certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, including oil and filter changes, tire rotations, and engine and cabin air-filter replacements.
• Work on used-vehicle inventory in the reconditioning shop.
• Complete repair orders efficiently and accurately in accordance with manufacturer standards.
• Complete repairs without oversight.
• Diagnose the cause of minor malfunctions.
• Communicate vehicle repair and maintenance recommendations to the assigned service advisor.
