About The Position

Pavement Technology Inc. has been the leader in rejuvenating asphalt for over 50 years. We aim to offer long-term, environmentally responsible technologies to rejuvenate roadways, stabilize road joints, restore seals, suppress dust, and restore recycled asphalt. Our team is second to none. We travel throughout the country, rejuvenating one road at a time. Our Florida division works in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Sound Carolina. We are seeking a responsible Service Technician to perform annual inspections, quality preventative maintenance inspections, and quality maintenance repairs on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, and other company owned equipment. You will read work orders from the Fleet Manager or Drivers and record services and repairs to maintain accurate vehicle records. Must be able to diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repairs. You must be able to conduct field visits in case of an emergency or sudden breakdown. Complete PM services, tire rotations, and brake checks. Will assist in ordering parts, accepting deliveries and maintaining shop inventory.

Requirements

  • Minimum age of 21
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Satisfactory completion of post-secondary education in diesel automotive repair
  • Must be willing to travel overnight to fix equipment on job sites approximately 50% of time.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, analytical skills, time management skills
  • Attention to detail, quality focus
  • Must be tech savvy and proficient using and iPhone/iPad, Microsoft software and industry/company specific software such as Cummins Insite
  • Must have a basic working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems with basic trouble shooting skills
  • Perform physical activities that requires considerable use of your arms and legs such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, and handling materials
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Physically capable of performing all duties as assigned
  • Perform duties in various weather conditions (some yard are outdoors).

Nice To Haves

  • Class B CDL preferred or willing to obtain within one year of employment.
