About The Position
AC Sweepers and Maintenance, Inc is seeking an Experienced, Full-time Mechanic for our parking lot and street sweeping operation. This role involves establishing, scheduling, and performing preventative and corrective maintenance procedures on company trucks, sweepers, and equipment. The mechanic will also be responsible for reviewing driver reports, maintaining repair logs, purchasing supplies and parts, and ensuring the shop is kept clean and orderly. The position requires the ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and electrical vehicle issues, and may involve after-hour breakdowns. Compliance with company safety and personnel policies is essential.
Requirements
- Must have a valid Georgia Driver License
- Must have a clean driving record
- Must be 23 years old for insurance purposes
- High school diploma or equivalent, equivalent work experience, or combination thereof
- Must be able to work flexible hours and days
- Job requires 40 plus hours a week and overtime as necessary
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Applicants must pass a pre-employment drug test

- Ownership of basic tools a plus but not necessary
Nice To Haves
- Diesel Mechanic experience is a plus
- Ability to use a cutting torch and/or weld is plus
Responsibilities
- Establish, schedule and perform required preventative and corrective maintenance procedures
- Experience in oil changes, mounting tires and light mechanical
- Review driver/operator reports of needed repairs
- Maintain accurate repair logs on all company trucks, sweepers and equipment
- Ability to accomplish work in a reasonable time frame
- Purchase, received and store shop supplies and sweeper/truck parts
- Trouble-shooting and repair of Hydraulic and electrical vehicle issues
- Keep shop clean and orderly
- Be on-call for after-hour breakdowns
- Compliance with all company safety and personnel policies
