About The Position

Solenis is looking for a Service Technician to support our paper mill customers! This role involves performing preventive maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment and systems. The technician will inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose equipment issues to ensure reliable operation, conduct equipment failure analyses, and support both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities. Additionally, the role requires evaluating equipment performance, recommending improvements, and implementing modifications to optimize system performance. The Service Technician will also prepare technical reports, partner with customer personnel to ensure safe and efficient mill operations, and support on-site service activities by providing technical expertise at customer facilities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment: exposure to heat/cold, industrial noise, etc.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Proficient mechanical/electrical knowledge.
  • Capacity to assess data and make application adjustments to maintain system performance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel)
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Self-motivated
  • Extremely high safety awareness- Ability to complete safety training, follow safety policies and work in a safety-oriented manner.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose equipment issues to ensure reliable operation.
  • Conduct equipment failure analyses and support both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
  • Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements to increase availability, capability, and production yield.
  • Implement equipment modifications and process improvements to optimize system performance.
  • Prepare technical reports documenting maintenance activities, equipment modifications, and maintenance procedures.
  • Partner with customer personnel to maintain safe, efficient, and uninterrupted mill operations.
  • Support on-site service activities and provide technical expertise at customer facilities.
