Service Technician (Reman Edm N)
About The Position
The Gear Centre is looking for an Entry-Level Service Technician to join our Remanufacturing Division in West Edmonton. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with tools, mechanical components, and equipment. No ticket is required to start. We are willing to train the right person, and apprenticeship enrollment may be available for the successful candidate. In this role, you will work with an experienced team and learn how components are disassembled, cleaned, inspected, prepared, and rebuilt. This is a great entry point for someone who wants to gain shop experience and build a long-term career in the heavy-duty industry.
Requirements
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
- Interest in mechanics, tools, equipment, or hands-on work
- Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment
- Team player with good communication skills
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
Nice To Haves
- Previous shop, mechanical, or labour experience considered an asset
Responsibilities
- Disassemble mechanical components
- Wash, clean, and prepare parts for rebuild
- Assist with inspection and reassembly of components
- Learn proper shop processes and safety procedures
- Work with experienced technicians and support the remanufacturing team
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe
