About The Position

WPM is hiring a Service Technician at The Fitzgerald in Mount Vernon/Midtown, Baltimore City. The role focuses on responding to maintenance work orders, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing apartments for new residents. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with participation in a rotating on-call schedule for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Compensation is $26 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

• Demonstrated skills in plumbing, electrical work, or carpentry.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in residential property maintenance.
• Availability for on-call emergencies at nights, on weekends, and on holidays.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work on ladders and lift up to 85 pounds.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Perform HVAC troubleshooting and routine maintenance.
• Repair and maintain appliances, electrical systems, and plumbing.
• Hang, prepare, and sand drywall.
• Paint apartment units and common areas.
• Maintain grounds to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Assist with snow removal as needed.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and prepare apartments for new residents.
