About The Position

Kia of West Nyack is seeking experienced Automotive Service Technicians to join our growing service team. We are part of a used automotive group specializing in high-quality pre-owned and luxury vehicles, and we are looking for technicians who take pride in their workmanship, value teamwork, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, professional environment. Requirements

  • Automotive service and repair experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to perform repairs efficiently and accurately.
  • Experience working on domestic, Asian, and/or European vehicles is a plus.
  • Luxury and European vehicle experience is highly valued.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine appropriate repair procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Professional attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets dealership insurance requirements.
  • ASE certifications and formal automotive training are a plus.
  • Willingness to continue learning and developing technical skills.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work on a variety of vehicles, including luxury and late-model pre-owned vehicles.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform brake, suspension, steering, cooling, HVAC, and general automotive repairs.
  • Complete routine maintenance services, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
  • Identify additional repair and maintenance needs during vehicle inspections.
  • Perform quality-control checks to ensure repairs are completed properly.
  • Follow manufacturer specifications, dealership procedures, and safety standards.
  • Properly document repairs and communicate vehicle concerns with service advisors and management.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other technicians, service advisors, and dealership personnel.
  • Continue developing technical skills through hands-on experience and available training.
  • Help maintain the dealership's high standards for vehicle quality and customer satisfaction.
