About The Position

Kia of West Nyack is seeking a results-driven automotive retail leader to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated ability to increase sales performance, structure profitable and customer-focused deals, and maintain high standards for customer satisfaction and operational execution. This position is well suited for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced used car dealership environment, holds the team accountable, and knows how to turn sales goals into consistent results.

Requirements

  • At least five years of automotive retail management experience.
  • Demonstrated success as an automotive Sales Manager.
  • Proven ability to lead a sales team and improve individual and department performance.
  • Strong knowledge of deal structure, lender relationships, dealership operations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with CDK or a comparable dealership management system.
  • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets the dealership’s insurance and vehicle-use requirements.
  • Availability to work a dealership schedule, including evenings and weekends as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Kia or Hyundai dealership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, motivate, and develop the dealership’s sales team.
  • Conduct daily sales meetings, individual coaching sessions, and performance discussions.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and hold the team accountable for results.
  • Oversee the complete sales process, from initial customer contact through vehicle delivery.
  • Review and structure profitable, customer-focused deals.
  • Monitor CRM activity, lead response, appointment-setting, follow-up, and closing performance.
  • Partner with dealership leadership to achieve monthly sales volume, gross profit, and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Oversee inventory presentation, merchandising, and vehicle-aging strategies.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and retain high-performing sales professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with dealership policies and applicable federal and New Jersey automotive sales requirements.
