This is first and foremost a mechanical and technical position. As a Rescue Equipment Service Technician, you'll become the technical expert for Hurst Jaws of Life rescue tools and fire equipment throughout your assigned territory. You'll work directly with fire departments performing inspections, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, repairs, and complete rebuilds of hydraulic and battery-powered rescue equipment. You'll be expected to confidently disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, and reassemble complex mechanical systems while ensuring every tool meets manufacturer specifications and safety standards. The ideal candidate enjoys working with their hands, solving mechanical problems, and takes pride in restoring equipment to peak performance. If you're the type of person who wants to know how something works, isn't afraid to take it apart, and has the skill to put it back together better than before, you'll thrive in this role. You'll build relationships in the firehouse, on the training ground, and in the field by providing dependable service, technical expertise, and hands-on support that firefighters can rely on.
