This role involves repairing, maintaining, and assisting in the installation of vending machines and equipment. It requires responding to dispatch calls for machine repairs, visiting existing customers to assess service adequacy, and resolving service complaints. The technician will diagnose machine malfunctions, dismantle machines for repair, inspect and replace parts, repair broken components, and test machine operation post-repair. Additionally, the role involves managing equipment inventory, preparing machines for installation, assisting with installations and removals, and operating mechanical equipment and tools.

Requirements

  • Previous moving experience preferred.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a two-person team responsible for vending machine installations, relocations, removals, and equipment setup.
  • Serve as the primary driver for 26-foot and 30-foot food box trucks.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules, equipment movement, and customer communication to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Drive the move truck from client to client and safely install, move, and remove vending equipment and micro-markets.
  • Respond to dispatch calls for machine repairs using a company-owned vehicle.
  • Call on existing customers to determine the adequacy of service and resolve service complaints.
  • Visually inspect and listen to machines to determine causes of malfunctions.
  • Dismantle machines to gain access to problem areas.
  • Inspect parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
  • Remove and replace worn or defective parts.
  • Repair broken parts.
  • Realign and adjust components.
  • Test machine operation following repair.
  • Review inventory and order parts.
  • Ship and receive machines.
  • Maintain equipment inventory.
  • Prepare machines for installation at accounts.
  • Assist in installations and removals.
  • Set up and operate mechanical equipment and small hand tools, such as drills, grinders, and welding torches, for machine repair.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
