About The Position

The Service Technician IV completes installation, service, and maintenance work on commercial HVAC systems in commercial and industrial settings. The role includes inspecting, repairing, maintaining, starting up, and commissioning HVAC equipment, as well as providing technical support to other technicians in the field. Travel is required as needed. The position also requires obtaining an NCCER Performance Evaluator credential and supporting learning in the field.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• EPA certification required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• At least 5 years of HVAC experience required.
• Experience inspecting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC equipment.
• Experience with HVAC system startup and commissioning.
• Mastery of HVAC components and terminology.
• Working knowledge of HVAC concepts related to leak detection, evacuation, refrigerant recovery and charging, heat pumps, and air quality systems.
• Working knowledge of service tools and testing devices.
• Ability to follow and communicate instructions verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

• Technical school education preferred.
• OSHA 10 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform assigned HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting tasks in commercial and industrial settings.
• Service, diagnose, and troubleshoot commercial systems, including packaged rooftops, split systems, boilers, and chillers.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC equipment.
• Provide technical support in the field to other technicians.
• Obtain an NCCER Performance Evaluator credential and support learning in the field.
