About The Position

We are hiring immediately for a full time SERVICE TECHNICIAN (INSTALL TEAM) position. This role involves repairing, maintaining, and assisting in the installation of vending machines and equipment. You will be responsible for responding to dispatch calls for machine repairs, servicing existing customers, troubleshooting and repairing machines, managing inventory, and preparing machines for installation. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical repairs, and troubleshooting equipment experience, along with a strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical repairs, and troubleshooting equipment experience is required.
  • Must be able to safely operate a 26-foot box truck.
  • Must be able to efficiently load and unload vending machines using lift gates, pallet jacks, and stair climbers.
  • Must possess strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to maneuver equipment through tight spaces and adapt installations as needed.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot, test, and verify vending machines.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a 26-foot box truck to transport, deliver, and install vending machines across a variety of customer locations.
  • Efficiently load and unload vending machines using lift gates, pallet jacks, and stair climbers in diverse environments and conditions.
  • Apply strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to maneuver equipment through tight spaces and adapt installations as needed.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and verify vending machines to ensure proper installation, functionality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Respond to dispatch calls for machine repairs using company-owned vehicle.
  • Call on existing customers to determine adequacy of service; listen to and resolve service complaints.
  • Visually inspect and listen to machines to determine causes of malfunctions; dismantle machines to gain access to problem area.
  • Inspect parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems; remove and replace worn or defective parts; repair broken parts; realign and adjust components; test machine operation following repair.
  • Review inventory and order parts; ship and receive machines; maintain equipment inventory.
  • Prepare machines for installation at accounts; assist in installations and removals.
  • Set up and operate mechanical equipment and small hand tools, such as drills, grinders and welding torches, for machine repair.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
