About The Position

The Service/ Warranty Technician is responsible for completing residential electrical work on homes before and after homeowners move in, ensuring all electrical systems are properly functioning in the new home.

Requirements

Previous experience in all phases of residential electrical.
Electrical trade knowledge for all aspects of residential electrical.
Ability to read prints and scale to ensure placement of fixtures, receptacles, switches, etc.
Must have their own standard residential electrical tools.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Must have specialty tool use knowledge – i.e. Jack Hammer, Generator, Multimeter, Toner.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must be able to read paperwork and fill out necessary information.
Must have electrical safety knowledge (Lock Out Tag Out).
Must have National Electric Code (NEC) knowledge.
Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
Must be able to work On Call schedule on rotation with other service employees.

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Completing residential electrical work on homes before and after homeowners move in.
Ensuring all electrical is properly functioning in the new home.
Handling warranty calls, including troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues.
Ensuring homes are left clean of debris after warranty calls.
Deescalating situations with dissatisfied homeowners.
Completing "Hot Checks" prior to final inspection and homeowner closing.
Energizing and deenergizing homes.
Confirming all equipment is properly installed and functional.
Troubleshooting faulty equipment, circuits, and breakers.
Communicating with service manager and supervisor regarding issues during "Hot Checks".
Ensuring the home is left in "move in" condition after "Hot Checks".
Completing Punch Lists, which are quality checklists of issues identified during walkthroughs.
Troubleshooting and reading blueprints/floor plans.
Communicating with the manager regarding any issues that arise during punch list completion.
