About The Position

SPATCO Energy Solutions is hiring an experienced Service Tech to support customers in the petroleum industry. The role services and maintains fueling systems and equipment, including gasoline dispensers and electronic point-of-sale systems. Technicians work with branch managers, dispatchers, other experienced technicians, and trainees; they may assist trainees with their training and certifications. The position does not follow a typical 8-to-5 schedule, and hours may vary according to workload and customer needs. It involves daily local travel and outdoor work in all types of weather.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and a good driving record.
At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining gasoline dispensing units, including dispenser hydraulics and submerged pump units.
Valid dispenser certification(s).
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
Ability to travel locally each day.
Ability to lift 50–75 pounds.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units, including equipment from Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, and Bennett.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic point-of-sale systems, including VeriFone, Gilbarco, and NCR systems.
Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment.
Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and make repairs as needed.
Perform scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance on fueling systems.
Communicate with customers and explain technical issues in a non-technical manner.
Work alongside trainees when needed to help them complete training and certifications.
