About The Position

The Service Team Member delivers friendly customer service, helps customers shop and locate products, and provides a fast, friendly checkout experience. The role supports store operations through truck unloading, stocking, planogram execution, merchandise recovery, and maintenance to help maintain a well-merchandised and in-stock store. Team members also assist with omnichannel fulfillment, promote rewards and private-label credit card programs, support store safety and shrink programs, and follow company policies and procedures. This seasonal, part-time position is based at the OKC-Memorial store in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Team members are cross-trained in Custom Framing sales and production. The work takes place in a public retail store. Public areas are climate controlled, while some stock rooms may not be. Some outdoor work may be required when retrieving carts or unloading trucks. The frame shop contains a glass cutter and heat press. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings. Michaels requires team members in this role to be at least 16 years old.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.
Ability to remain standing for long periods.
Ability to move throughout the store.
Ability to bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly.
Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.
Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

Help customers shop, locate products, and find solutions.
Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience and handle cash according to standards.
Engage customers about the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
Educate customers about the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
Assist with omnichannel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance, including returns/go-backs and general store recovery.
Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
Support shrink and safety programs.
Follow standard operating procedures, company programs, policies, and standards to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner, maintain a positive attitude in difficult situations, and model the organization’s vision and values.
Cross-train in Custom Framing sales and production.
Perform other duties as assigned.
