About The Position

Pliler International in Shreveport is seeking an experienced Service Shop Foreman to help lead and elevate our service department operations. This position plays a critical role in overseeing shop workflow, supporting technicians, maintaining repair quality standards, and ensuring efficient communication between the shop and service advisors. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge in the medium and heavy-duty truck industry, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Compensation is based on experience with a pay range of $60,000 - $100,000 annually.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years technical experience in the medium/heavy-duty truck industry
  • High degree of product and technical knowledge related to commercial truck repair and diagnostics
  • Knowledge and use of relevant software applications necessary to perform the role
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Valid Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License (or able to obtain one)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adapting to operational changes
  • Professional attitude with strong customer service focus
  • Team-oriented mindset with commitment to collaboration and accountability

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily flow of service work, technician accountability, repair completion, documentation, and communication with Service Advisors to ensure efficient operations.
  • Maintain a high level of repair quality by conducting periodic spot checks throughout the day to monitor workmanship, cleanliness, and repair progress.
  • Ensure completed vehicles are properly parked and organized in designated areas upon repair completion.
  • Review and approve completed repair orders, verifying technician comments, repair accuracy, and road test completion.
  • Provide on-the-job technical support and guidance to technicians while assisting in the development of their technical skills and abilities.
  • Ensure all repair documentation is accurate, descriptive, and compliant with dealership and OEM standards.
  • Verify allotted labor times are properly noted prior to dispatching work assignments.
  • Understand and enforce compliance with all International, OEM, vendor warranty policies, approval processes, and procedures.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Smart Dispatch and other work management systems to support efficient shop operations.
  • Monitor compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to service operations, including OSHA, EPA, and hazardous waste requirements.
  • Promote and maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
  • Ensure work assignments are distributed fairly and efficiently among technicians.
  • Oversee the proper use, care, and storage of shop tools and equipment.
  • Attend service department meetings and participate in dealership operational initiatives as required.
  • Provide backup support for Service Advisors when necessary.
