About The Position

Tecta America South Florida, a trusted leader in commercial roofing for over 30 years, is seeking a Service Sales Representative for its Hialeah location. This role is focused on the business development of the Service Department, including preventive maintenance service contract products. The representative will engage with new and existing clients, generate leads, and build a portfolio of accounts through prospecting and referrals in a business-to-business setting within an assigned territory. The role involves understanding client needs, conducting roof inspections, preparing estimates and proposals, and managing won service projects.

Requirements

  • 3 – 5 years sales experience in commercial roofing, construction or a related field
  • Demonstrated success in sales, with a strong record of achievement and a proven ability to achieve results
  • Ability to apply negotiation skills to a variety of sales situations.
  • Ability to manage/qualify leads and close business through direct contact or over the phone
  • Excellent track record in developing relationships with a high degree of integrity and trust
  • Solid project management skills
  • Solid verbal, written, interpersonal and listening skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including SharePoint and CRM
  • Ability to climb ladders and walk/inspect roof
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle

Responsibilities

  • Visits customers’ or potential customers’ facilities to help determine overall roof service needs on a long-term basis and assists to design programs to meet those needs
  • Conducts roof top inspections of existing systems and secures opportunities to quote on customer requirements. Prepares full estimate including pictures, drawings and other description
  • Prepares professional quote for roof services and presents full scope of quotation to customers
  • Maintain current information about customers, facilities, operations and personnel on customer contact management system
  • Assists in the collection of outstanding receivables and identifies potential problems that may delay the payment of open invoices
  • Provides sales and lost business reports
  • Follow up on direct mail campaigns
  • Present clients with the most appropriate solutions
  • Assemble proposals and reports for clients
  • Submit all contacts and documentation in a timely manner
  • Follow up with clients on a periodic basis to ensure that their expectations are being met and to get referrals
  • Work with Service Coordinator to understand where/how to generate additional leads and referrals
  • Coordinate with the Service Department Manager to develop sales strategies and, when necessary, to close deals
  • Manage the service projects won through your efforts
  • Perform other related tasks as may be assigned
  • Prospect via cold calls, emails, door-to-door calls, networking and referrals
