About The Position

AVI Foodsystems is hiring a friendly, hard-working, full-time Service Route Driver. The role involves transporting and delivering food and products to client locations, servicing vending machines and coolers, managing inventory and merchandise, collecting money and unsold or stale products, and maintaining company vehicles and equipment. The position pays $21 per hour. AVI Foodsystems is a food service company founded in 1960, known for comprehensive food services, fresh ingredients, service, and value.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle.
Valid driver’s license and a good driving record; a CDL is not required.
Ability to pass a DOT physical.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Outgoing personality with skills to promote products.
Excellent organization and time-management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and AVI team members.
Ability to work independently and use time efficiently.

Responsibilities

Ensure the company vehicle is properly loaded with all products needed to service locations.
Drive a vehicle to transport products and food to client locations.
Deliver, load, and unload products and food as requested.
Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers.
Ensure cold food products are refrigerated in the truck and at accounts.
Oversee merchandise ordering and control inventory.
Collect unsold and stale merchandise.
Collect money, including coins and bills, from machines.
Communicate positively with customers by making eye contact and smiling.
Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines at accounts.
Manage the care of the company vehicle.
