About The Position

As Service Retrofit Superintendent - Start Up & Warranty, you'll oversee project commissioning, startup, functional testing, and warranty support for mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, controls), ensuring seamless handover and long-term performance. Lead closeout activities, client training, and issue resolution. Requirements

• 7+ years in mechanical commissioning/startup/warranty, including supervisory.
• High school/GED; technical certifications (e.g., CxA, TAB) preferred.
• Field/office mix; site visits, testing equipment handling.
• Sites during closeout; PPE/safety essential.
• Commissioning/testing, system balancing, warranty management.
• Client training, troubleshooting, documentation.
• Safety protocols, coordination with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Manage system startups, commissioning, balancing, and performance verification.
• Coordinate vendor startups, testing, and documentation for handover.
• Resolve punch list items, warranty claims, and post-occupancy issues.
• Train client facilities staff on system operation and maintenance.
• Enforce safety during testing/commissioning activities.
• Track warranty periods, preventive maintenance, and follow-up visits.
• Collaborate with project teams for lessons learned and improvements.
