About The Position

To locate and stage inventory for storage, packaging, shipping, and cycle counting. To accurately receive, verify and accept shipments of supplies, parts and RGAs. Prepare all outgoing customer orders for prompt and accurate shipments according to established procedures, customer’s and/or transportation carrier’s special instructions and timetables.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of parts and materials used in manufacturing operations, blueprint reading and ability to navigate TriMark's website.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and any special instructions related to receiving parts and supplies, shipping to customers and returning of any goods.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other employees and help train new hires within the department.
  • Is also required to work closely with CSR, Engineering, Corporate Shipping/Receiving Department and P&IC.
  • Ability to communicate with customers, vendors and freight lines concerning dates, quantities, and purchase orders. Also gives directions and tracks the product.
  • Ability to work accurately performing PC functions, mathematical calculations/conversion, and scale operations.
  • Must have ability to do multiple tasks and work with frequent interruptions.
  • Understanding the pulling, packaging, boxing, and shipping of customer’s orders.
  • Understanding of the inventory location system.
  • Understanding the various methods of shipping and the shipping carriers’ requirements including exports.
  • Understanding of how to use table/floor scales, fork truck, pallet wrapper, and Joey.
  • Ability to operate and cut keys to customer’s specification.
  • Must be available to work overtime and weekends as required to meet the company’s business demands.
  • Uniform safety practices consist of safety shoes, safety glasses, and gloves or other protective equipment as needed for safe handling of shipments.
  • This area requires normal or corrected vision, normal depth perception and peripheral vision of 180 degrees and no color deficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Unloads trucks, performs quality assurance inspections, and accepts shipments from suppliers.
  • Verifies received parts against documents, resolving discrepancies, quality problems or other inconsistencies.
  • Locates and relocates parts to warehouse storage racks in order to optimize rack space.
  • Stores them in an orderly manner and record their location according to established inventory control procedures.
  • Performs cycle counting of parts to ensure inventory accuracy, investigates and corrects discrepancies.
  • When requested, do a physical count of specific parts to facilitate ordering.
  • Responsible to ensure inventory is not damaged or deteriorated beyond its usefulness.
  • Responsible for using key cutting machine and grinder to debur cut keys to a specific code for customers.
  • Prepares shipping documentation for domestic as well as international shipments including packing list, bill of lading, export documents, USMC, and electronic export invoices so product arrives at customer’s facility in a timely manner.
  • Packages product per customer’s packing guidelines.
  • May include but not limited to proper bags, tags, barcodes, and labels, boxes for shipment, finalizes packaging and processes through small package/freight carrier, and loads freight carriers.
  • Confirms shipment according to procedures, processes and verifies accuracy of invoices.
  • Emails or faxes invoices per customer request.
  • Logs onto customer’s site or logistical website to process ASN’s.
  • Incumbent is responsible for providing quality service and communication in a manner that will promote optimum satisfaction and understanding.
  • This position is responsible for keeping customer quality and on-time delivery infractions to a minimum.
  • Must investigate and resolve any shipping infractions.
  • This position supports the continual improvement and compliance of QMS and EMS.
  • Responsible to perform his or her job functions in a manner that supports TriMark’s mission, vision, and values in order for the company to attain its strategic and growth goals.
  • Responsible to schedule incoming trucks for product pickup.
  • Responsible for keeping supplies on hand.
