About The Position

This role is responsible for locating and staging inventory for storage, packaging, shipping, and cycle counting. The specialist will accurately receive, verify, and accept shipments of supplies, parts, and RGAs. They will prepare all outgoing customer orders for prompt and accurate shipments according to established procedures, customer's and/or transportation carrier's special instructions and timetables.

  • Thorough knowledge of parts and materials used in manufacturing operations.
  • Blueprint reading ability.
  • Ability to navigate TriMark's website.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and any special instructions related to receiving parts and supplies, shipping to customers and returning of any goods.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other employees and help train new hires within the department.
  • Ability to work closely with CSR, Engineering, Corporate Shipping/Receiving Department and P&IC.
  • Ability to communicate with customers, vendors and freight lines concerning dates, quantities, and purchase orders. Also gives directions and tracks the product.
  • Ability to work accurately performing PC functions, mathematical calculations/conversion, and scale operations.
  • Must have ability to do multiple tasks and work with frequent interruptions.
  • Determine accuracy and general quality of goods received and shipped.
  • Recognize and reconcile discrepancies and realize when assistance from Supervisor is required.
  • Ensure records are completed accurately and completely, following through to obtain corrected information.
  • Ensure customer and supplier data is properly inputted into the system for prompt delivery and payment of orders.
  • Establish the location of parts in a minimum amount of time.
  • Understanding the pulling, packaging, boxing, and shipping of customer’s orders.
  • Understanding of the inventory location system.
  • Understanding the various methods of shipping and the shipping carriers’ requirements including exports.
  • Understanding of how to use table/floor scales, fork truck, pallet wrapper, and Joey.
  • Ability to operate and cut keys to customer’s specification.
  • Safety shoes, safety glasses, and gloves or other protective equipment as needed for safe handling of shipments.
  • Normal or corrected vision, normal depth perception and peripheral vision of 180 degrees and no color deficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Unload trucks, perform quality assurance inspections, and accept shipments from suppliers.
  • Verify received parts against documents, resolving discrepancies, quality problems, or other inconsistencies.
  • Locate and relocate parts to warehouse storage racks to optimize rack space and store them in an orderly manner, recording their location according to established inventory control procedures.
  • Perform cycle counting of parts to ensure inventory accuracy, investigate and correct discrepancies. When requested, perform a physical count of specific parts to facilitate ordering.
  • Ensure inventory is not damaged or deteriorated beyond its usefulness.
  • Operate a key cutting machine and grinder to deburr cut keys to a specific code for customers.
  • Prepare shipping documentation for domestic and international shipments, including packing lists, bills of lading, export documents, USMC, and electronic export invoices.
  • Package product per customer's packing guidelines, which may include proper bags, tags, barcodes, and labels, boxes for shipment, finalizing packaging, and processing through small package/freight carriers, and loading freight carriers.
  • Confirm shipment according to procedures, process and verify accuracy of invoices. Email or fax invoices per customer request.
  • Log onto customer's site or logistical website to process ASNs.
  • Provide quality service and communication in a manner that will promote optimum satisfaction and understanding.
  • Keep customer quality and on-time delivery infractions to a minimum. Investigate and resolve any shipping infractions.
  • Support the continual improvement and compliance of QMS and EMS.
  • Perform job functions in a manner that supports TriMark's mission, vision, and values.
  • Schedule incoming trucks for product pickup.
  • Maintain adequate stock of supplies.
