Service/Repair Technician 3 possesses in-depth knowledge and has demonstrated mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, gas, and/or refrigeration (HVACR) aptitude with complex troubleshooting experience. Responsible for providing on-site support to Hobart Service customers that includes installation and/or service of commercial food equipment. This role involves a routine work schedule including on-call, after-hours, holiday, and weekend on-site repair support. The technician will install, maintain, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, gas, and/or refrigeration commercial food equipment for customers on a contract or time and material basis. Ability to interpret schematic diagrams and understand sequences of operations for multiple operating modes is crucial. The role also requires knowledge of state and federal regulations related to combustion emissions, completing preventative maintenance, and implementing safety procedures. Additionally, the technician will promote financial objectives by providing quality customer experiences, generating leads, supporting new product introductions, and maintaining current industry and equipment knowledge. Responsibilities include managing assigned company assets like vehicles, tools, and inventory, and adhering to safe driving policies.
