About The Position
The Service Porter plays a vital role in supporting the service team by maintaining a clean and organized service area, assisting customers and technicians, and ensuring efficient vehicle turnover. This position requires a positive attitude, dependability, and attention to detail.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Ability to read and understand job-related instructions in electronic or paper formats
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Good judgment and professionalism in all assigned tasks
Responsibilities
- Greet customers at the service drive and direct them to service advisors.
- Safely move customer vehicles to designated parking or service areas.
- Retrieve and deliver vehicles to customers after service completion.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service drive, customer lounge, and service shop.
- Assist with vehicle check-in procedures and walk-around inspections.
- Support shuttle service or vehicle pick-up/drop-off as needed.
- Monitor and manage inventory of car wash and porter supplies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Service Manager or Assistant Service Manager.
