About The Position

Western Express is seeking a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team as a Service Porter. This role involves performing trailer sanitation, safely moving equipment, reporting maintenance issues, storing equipment, conducting routine inspections, performing inventory audits, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized facility and yard environment. The position requires adherence to all company safety policies and operational procedures. Due to the collaborative nature of the work environment, the spontaneous need for idea generation and execution, and the potential for expedited remediations, responses, or information gathering, in-person, in-office attendance is an essential function of this position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely operate equipment and maintain awareness of surroundings.

Responsibilities

• Perform trailer sanitation to ensure equipment meets company cleanliness standards.
• Safely and efficiently move equipment throughout the yard.
• Report facility maintenance issues and major repair needs to management.
• Store equipment in designated locations while maintaining an organized yard.
• Conduct routine inspections of incoming and outgoing equipment.
• Perform inventory audits to maintain accurate equipment records.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility and yard environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and operational procedures.
