About The Position

Western Express is seeking a Service Porter to join their team. This role involves performing trailer sanitation, moving equipment, reporting maintenance issues, storing equipment, conducting routine inspections, and performing inventory audits. The Service Porter will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe facility and yard environment, and adhering to all company safety policies and operational procedures. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, strong communication and organizational skills, dependability, and the ability to perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions. Due to the collaborative nature of the work environment, in-person, in-office attendance is an essential function of this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform trailer sanitation to ensure equipment meets company cleanliness standards.
• Safely and efficiently move equipment throughout the yard.
• Report facility maintenance issues and major repair needs to management.
• Store equipment in designated locations while maintaining an organized yard.
• Conduct routine inspections of incoming and outgoing equipment.
• Perform inventory audits to maintain accurate equipment records.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility and yard environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and operational procedures.
