About The Position

Western Express is seeking a Service Planner to join their team. This role involves efficiently responding to incoming driver requests, providing support for driver inquiries, and managing daily repair orders. The Service Planner will coordinate directly with technicians to ensure timely and accurate repairs, utilizing Transman for maintenance tracking. A strong commitment to maintaining a courteous, professional, and positive demeanor is essential, along with excellent communication skills. The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced shop environment while maintaining organization and accuracy is crucial. Proficiency in computer systems, including accurate data entry and typing, is required. The role also involves completing all required documentation and reports in a timely manner, including DOT inspection reports and violation documentation, and consistently meeting commitments and adhering to established deadlines.

  • Familiarity with VRMS coding is a plus.
