About The Position

Gordon Truck Centers, Inc. (GTC) is currently seeking a qualified and safety-minded CDL driver to join our team in our Mount Vernon, WA location. The ideal candidate will have a current CDL with minimum required endorsements: trailer and passenger. Hours can vary depending on needs. Helping customers satisfy their transportation needs since 1986, GTC is an expanded network of 19 dealerships doing business as Freightliner Northwest, Western Star Northwest, TrailerCraft, Western Mountain Bus and Freightliner of Hawaii. Requirements

  • Must have valid CDL driver’s license.
  • Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain.
  • 3 years commercial over the road experience.
  • Must be dependable and reliable.
  • Must be professional and safety minded at all times.
  • Excellent communication both verbal and written, listening skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and direction.
  • Must adhere to all DOT regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Pick up and deliver customer vehicles to and from their place of business within the specified regional area.
  • Knowledge of all laws and regulations as they pertain to transporting commercial vehicles.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate customers concerns and needs in an honest and professional manner to service advisors.
  • Must be a self-starter and willing to take the initiative, able and willing to work with limited supervision.
  • Must have flexibility with schedules as some extended work hours may be required depending on the business need.
  • Must be able to drive automatic and manual transmissions
  • Any other duties as assigned.
