Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
0-1 years of experience in a Janitorial, Mechanical, or other hands-on role with related skills.
Good attention to detail, with the ability to adequately clean areas consistently.
Ability to work independently and meet requirements of assigned cleaning requests.
Ability to use basic hand tools (i.e. Screwdrivers, hammers, etc.).
Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment and be trained on using medium to large-sized cleaning and material handling equipment (ie. Riding Floor Scrubbers, Forklifts, etc.).
Good communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to articulate information efficiently and effectively to team members in a variety of departments.
Good interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to understand and complete requests given by team members inside and outside of the department.
Ability and willingness to follow Health Safety & Environment procedures accurately, reporting concerns promptly to the safety action team.

Nice To Haves

Experience in commercial cleaning.
Experience using carpet extractors, floor scrubbing/buffing machines.
Experience using a forklift/scissor lift or other material/people handling equipment.

Responsibilities

Maintain floor surfaces in office and plant areas (sweeping, washing, vacuuming, waxing/buffing).
Clean and maintain washrooms, including walls, floors, toilets, and urinals, and replenish stock.
Collect garbage and recycling and place it in appropriate outside bins.
Ensure entrances and pathways are clear of snow and debris.
Perform basic maintenance of facilities-related systems (e.g., fixing sprinklers, gates, trimmers).
Sweep and scrub the factory floor using brooms and powered floor scrubbers.
Clean carpet and strip/wax floors.
Complete basic functionality testing of eye wash stations and showers.
Prepare office spaces for meetings and set up desks for new team members.
Assist in the re-organization of office spaces, including moving furniture.
Consistently adhere to quality of work and safety standards.
Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Attend in-person or virtual meetings as requested or required.
Communicate effectively and respectfully with others.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Work with departmental mentors to gain and apply feedback.
Maintain ongoing training requirements.
Flexibility to work overtime when required and as scheduled by management.
