About The Position

This position is responsible for managing and tracking all service of process activities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of legal documents. This role serves as the primary liaison between the firm and process servers, while also verifying and updating defendant address information to support successful service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Familiarity with skip tracing tools and case management systems (e.g., Collection Master, TLO, Accurint)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking

Nice To Haves

  • associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience in collections, legal support, or process service coordination preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and communicate with process servers to ensure prompt service of legal documents
  • Track and monitor all service attempts and maintain accurate status updates in the case management system
  • Research, verify, and update defendant addresses using skip tracing tools and internal resources
  • Ensure all accounts are assigned for service in a timely manner based on firm and legal requirements
  • Follow up on outstanding or unsuccessful service attempts and take corrective action as needed
  • Maintain detailed documentation of service activity, including attempts, outcomes, and notes
  • Escalate difficult-to-serve accounts or address issues to management as appropriate
  • Work closely with legal staff to ensure deadlines for service are met in accordance with court rules
  • Identify trends or issues with service vendors and report performance concerns
  • Assist in vendor management, including maintaining contact lists and performance tracking
