About The Position

Window World is seeking a full-time Service Technician to service previously installed windows and doors, helping ensure customer satisfaction through professional workmanship and timely issue resolution. The technician also measures new window and door orders and handles smaller installation jobs as needed. The role involves traveling to customer homes in the Syracuse and Rochester coverage area in a Window World-provided service van. Window World describes itself as the nation’s largest exterior remodeler, providing windows, doors, and other home improvement products. Requirements

Experience with window and door installation or service is required.
Experience measuring.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
High attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to lift heavy products and work in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Travel to customer homes using a company-provided van to diagnose and resolve service-related issues.
Measure windows and doors for ordering.
Troubleshoot product or installation issues and complete repairs with minimal need for follow-up.
Handle smaller installation jobs as needed.
Maintain a clean, professional work area in customers’ homes and in the service van.
Complete necessary paperwork, including service reports and customer acknowledgments.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient resolution of service tickets.
