This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Service Manager looking to take their career to the next level with one of the Pacific Northwest's most recognized automotive groups. As the Service Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of a busy automotive service department, leading advisors, technicians, and support staff to achieve operational excellence. You will be responsible for maximizing profitability, improving customer satisfaction, increasing service retention, and maintaining a productive, positive work environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of automotive service management experience.
  • Proven track record of achieving strong service department financial results.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Knowledge of dealership service operations, fixed operations metrics, and customer satisfaction programs.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to analyze reports and make data-driven business decisions.
  • Proficiency with dealership management systems and service software.
  • Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record, able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of service department operations and profitability.
  • Lead, coach, and develop service advisors, technicians, and support staff.
  • Monitor and improve customer satisfaction scores and service retention.
  • Review key performance indicators including labor sales, gross profit, technician productivity, and effective labor rates.
  • Ensure efficient scheduling and workflow management throughout the service department.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers and manufacturer representatives.
  • Ensure compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer standards, and safety requirements.
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Recruit, train, and retain top service department talent.
  • Drive departmental growth through effective leadership and process improvement.
