About The Position
Tonkin Hillsboro Chevrolet is seeking an experienced and motivated Service Advisor to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be motivated to earn top-tier income. As a Service Advisor, you will be the primary point of contact between customers and the service department, responsible for understanding service recommendations, coordinating repairs, and ensuring a seamless service experience from check-in to vehicle delivery.
Requirements
- Previous automotive service advisor experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Ability to build trust and rapport with customers
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
- Recommend maintenance and repair services based on customer needs and manufacturer guidelines
- Prepare estimates and explain repair recommendations clearly
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely and accurate repairs
- Keep customers informed throughout the repair process
- Review completed work and invoices with customers
- Maintain strong customer satisfaction scores and retention
- Follow dealership processes and manufacturer standards
- Assist in achieving department sales and service goals
