About The Position

We’re looking for a well-trained and highly organized professional who takes pride in his or her work and can perform various customer service duties. The Service Manager will assign and give work directions to employees in the Service Department. They will advise and recommend changes and improvements to the President. This individual will manage processing of repair and warranty work.

Responsibilities

  • Assign jobs and work areas to employees according to their skills and knowledge.
  • Arrange for and participate in re-conditioning of used equipment and set-up of new equipment.
  • Review all repair work orders for accuracy and completeness in concerning parts, materials and labor and approves the release of equipment for delivery to the customer.
  • Direct and assist in the diagnosis of machine problems of technicians and apprentices and provide instruction as required.
  • Responsible for conducting and scheduling all in-house technician training.
  • Assist in the appraisal of repair work coming into the Service Department and participates in repair.
  • Advise President of all customer complaints.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment for all technicians.
  • Meet with President on a regular basis to review department performance and personnel matters.
  • Perform other duties and functions as directed by Management in line with objectives of the dealership.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
  • Prepare all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
  • Maintain technical and product knowledge on all equipment sold within the dealership’s area of responsibility.
  • Conduct self in the presence of customers so as to present a professional image of Owen Equipment Co.
  • Participate in any and all appropriate training.
  • Attend all Owen Equipment Co. functions and meetings.
  • Follow all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
