About The Position

EquipmentShare is seeking a Service Manager for its rental facility in Kalispell, MT. This role is responsible for leading a team of Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technicians (Mechanics) and driving the company's mission to transform the construction industry through innovative technology and exceptional service. The Service Manager will utilize EquipmentShare's technology platform to manage work orders, track service intervals, order parts, and diagnose equipment issues efficiently. The position requires a focus on quality performance, customer satisfaction, and employee development within a safe work environment.

Requirements

  • Industry knowledge (rental industry or related construction field).
  • Three years of maintenance and service experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced, growing company environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn and stay up-to-date on EquipmentShare products and services.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Teamwork and strong verbal/written communication skills.
  • High School diploma.
  • Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair.
  • Experience leading maintenance teams.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • Ability to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to pass a 10-panel drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Trade school certificate.
  • Experience and/or a background in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

  • Create, assign, and monitor work orders using company technology.
  • Track machine service intervals and order necessary parts.
  • Diagnose equipment issues by analyzing data from various makes and models.
  • Coordinate and supervise the quality performance of equipment mechanics and service personnel.
  • Schedule repairs for customer and company-owned rental equipment.
  • Maintain and nurture customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for business improvement.
  • Respond promptly to and resolve customer inquiries, requests, and complaints.
  • Oversee employee training and development.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
