About The Position

Quincy Compressor is seeking a Service Manager to join their team in Fontana, CA. This role is crucial in developing the service business within the region, providing daily leadership and oversight to a team of experienced service technicians. The Service Manager will ensure an excellent customer experience through customer service interactions, reports, and repairs. Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Business or technical field required
  • 5-7 years of directly relevant experience, preferably within the compressed air industry.
  • Excellent organizational, supervisory, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and procedures and OSHA regulatory compliance required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Some travel required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Strengthen customer relations by making routine visits to resolve issues, advise on service standards, and sell service agreements/products, including training.
  • Maximize retention and service revenue potential from the current Quincy installed base.
  • Achieve sales goals in terms of revenue and quantity of compressors serviced by the department.
  • Plan and control the daily workload of the Service Technicians and provide technical support to them and customers.
  • Interview, hire, and provide orientation/training for new employees.
  • Oversee and improve the efficiency of daily administrative routines.
  • Visit customers and provide advice on service standards and sell service plans, products, and training.
  • Proactively identify, pursue, and resolve customer service issues.
  • Support the daily operations of Service Technicians by facilitating communications with technical support, sales/marketing, and the customer.
  • Maintain a safe working environment while enforcing safety procedures and compliance to Federal laws and regulations.
  • Arrange safety training for Service Technicians as mandated by regulatory agencies and customers.
  • Maintain documentation/certification records relevant to this training.
  • Take whatever action is appropriate and required to get the job done and to establish and maintain communications with all people/employees considered necessary to get the job done.
