About The Position

Cogent People Inc. is seeking a Service Management Business Analyst to support a mission-critical large-scale system serving the Federal Government in the healthcare domain. The ideal candidate will be proficient in business analysis, functional design, business process design, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. This role requires supporting service management activities across multiple release trains, documenting business processes and functional requirements, coordinating test planning and execution, and facilitating cross-team communication, including with client stakeholders. The analyst will also create and maintain tracking artifacts and assist with test case review and execution.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in business and functional analysis.
  • 2+ years of experience in functional design and business process design.
  • Experience working with QA teams, supporting test planning and execution.
  • Experience operating in a SAFe Agile environment, across multiple teams and release trains.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality and accurate work.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Proven ability to manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidates must have lived in the U.S. for at least 3 of the past 5 years and be authorized to work in the U.S. (Citizen, Permanent Resident, or EAD).
  • Public Trust Clearance (or ability to obtain).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in federal government programs, or regulated environments (CMS experience is preferred).
  • Experience in client-facing position is highly desired.
