About The Position

The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute’s (OSUCCC-James) mission is to improve health in Ohio and across the world through innovation in research, education, and patient care. The Service Line Administrator is a liaison and administrative, technical and operational resource for one (1) service line across a single location. This role assists with projects, reviews and implement policy changes and identifies operational improvement opportunities to create an efficient workplace. Work alongside multiple Service Line Administrators (Level 5/6) in developing long-term plans to accomplish the strategic initiatives for the Powell location; participates and leads the strategic development and planning activities consistent with the vision, mission, and strategic goals of the James. Assist in leading the development of the vision, strategic direction, process improvement, compliance, and innovative initiatives for the assigned service lines at the Powell location. Provides direction to integrate services between all business units and the service line and works with senior leadership to coordinate and complete a variety of projects to ensure delivery of value-added products and services for assigned service line. Assist in strategies to enhance local and regional projects and programs for the James at Powell through the cultivation of external opportunities and to build services and programs as components of the James. Collaborates with the physicians assigned to Powell, outreach, marketing, and communication departments to develop and implement the appropriate communication strategies for the primary, secondary, and regional markets. Directs the administrative functions for the service lines. Reports directly to a Service Line Administrator level 5 or 6. Represents The James at local and regional levels as the liaison between the James and various organizations, agencies, and professional organizations.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in an appropriate field or equivalent combination of education and 3 to 8 years of healthcare administrative experience.
  • Graduate Degree in nursing, business or health care administration from an accredited school required.
  • Record of demonstrated leadership experience and skills and a minimum 1 years in leadership roles.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Certifications preferred.
  • Fellowship training at an approved program may offset direct leadership experience.
  • Oncology and ambulatory care administrative experience preferred.
  • Experience with collective bargaining and labor relations preferred.
