About The Position

Metro is looking for a full-time Service Lane Attendant to create a positively clean experience for all passengers. As a Service Lane Attendant, you would provide our community with the freedom and convenience of sanitary and safe transportation.

Requirements

Possession of a valid driver's license
Skills in custodial or janitorial work.
Some knowledge of bus cleaning methods, equipment, and supplies
Some knowledge of bus or heavy equipment maintenance
Truck driving experience and/or skill in driving and parking buses
Ability to follow simple written and oral directions
Ability to learn and practice safety rules and procedures
Ability to be flexible in handling changes
Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other employees
Ability to exercise sound judgement in stressful situations within scope of responsibilities
Lift 50 lbs. on a routine basis and up to 75 lbs. on an intermittent basis

Responsibilities

Fuel and park buses, check all fluid levels including oil, transmission, radiator, power steering and windshield wiper solvent
Wash bus exterior, thoroughly wash and clean bus interior
Remove all trash from bus and by visual inspection check lights, mirrors, wipers, tire wear and tire pressure
Clean the service lane area, return tools, equipment, and materials to the storage closet.
Document defects on appropriate forms
Probe fare box for revenue information and empty fare box vault into appropriate specified area for auditing
