About The Position

Tempe Mechanical is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Service Installer for commercial HVAC and plumbing work. The role installs and services HVAC equipment, including heating, air conditioning, control systems, indoor air quality equipment, and refrigerant systems. The Service Installer uses blueprints, codes, and manuals to guide work, and applies technical skills to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment. The position is based at the corporate office in Tempe, Arizona, with travel to job sites across the Greater Phoenix Area. Compensation is $18.00–$35.00 per hour, determined during the interview based on skills and experience. The position reports to the Service Manager.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Service Installer.
• Positive attitude.
• Punctual and dependable.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test for municipality work.

Responsibilities

• Install heating, air conditioning, control systems, and indoor air quality equipment.
• Assess blueprints, codes, and manuals to install HVAC equipment, including refrigerant systems.
• Install, troubleshoot, and diagnose equipment as needed.
• Solder and braze pipe.
• Test pipe or tubing joints and connections for leaks.
• Perform low-voltage wiring.
• Comply with applicable standards, codes, policies, and safety procedures.
• Enter completed projects and parts used into the database.
