Service Field Tech- Power Systems Technicians or NETA Technicians are expected to perform service, test and maintain various types of power transmission and distribution equipment. This role involves inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, performing start-ups, and collecting data on low, medium, and/or high voltage (up to 500kV) electrical systems. Responsibilities include testing switchgear and circuit breakers, and performing inspection, maintenance, testing, and repair of transformers and related equipment. The role also covers maintenance, testing, reconditioning, and repair of various types of circuit breakers. Experience with SF6 filled equipment and gas insulated switchgear is desired. Testing and inspecting low and medium voltage cable installations, operating high voltage test equipment, and performing start-up, troubleshooting, and repair on controls and transfer schemes are also key duties. The position requires rotating emergency on-call duty and responding to customer emergencies promptly, all while strictly complying with regulatory laws. Other duties may be assigned by a manager.
