About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Service Engineer I to join Mycronic's Global Technologies division working within our Die Bonding business line. This role provides remote and on-site technical support to customers across the US, Canada, and Mexico, utilizing a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent customer service. The focus is on repairs, process issues, and equipment optimization, serving as a trusted technical advisor. Responsibilities include conducting remote troubleshooting and diagnosis, as well as providing in-person support as needed at customer sites, including during the equipment installation process. This role is located on the West Coast, with a preferred home location of Seattle or Phoenix.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in the design, repair, maintenance, or field service of semiconductor back-end equipment strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with semiconductor back-end manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to customers, colleagues, and cross-functional teams
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico to support customer and business requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with root cause analysis and the development and implementation of effective corrective actions is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform equipment repairs, installations, and maintenance at customer facilities
  • Install and implement hardware and software upgrades to support equipment performance and functionality
  • Provide timely technical support to customers by phone and email, addressing service-related questions and concerns
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues and communicate findings and performance feedback to the factory
  • Deliver technical training to customers at their facilities, ensuring effective operation and use of equipment
  • Provide support to Service Engineer II on technical projects, service activities, and customer needs as assigned
  • Collaborate with the Applications and Testing Group to support equipment testing, troubleshooting, and related technical initiatives
  • Partner with Sales personnel by providing technical information, responding to customer inquiries, and participating in customer visits as needed
  • Collaborate with Marketing by gathering and communicating customer feedback, product needs, and service-related trends
  • Represent and promote company products and services professionally and in accordance with established training and guidelines
  • Travel throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico to support customer installations, service needs, and business activities
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives
