This Field Service Engineer I position is a full-time role with an anticipated 20% remote/work-from-home component and 80% field work, primarily in Southern Nebraska (around McCook, Alma, Holdredge, and Imperial, NE). Requirements
- Mechanical skills and/or experience.
- Strong customer service skills.
- A valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
Nice To Haves
- Background includes electronics or telemetry.
- Previous Field Service experience.
- Experience working with irrigation pipelines or pump controls.
- Proven ability to self-manage and take initiative.
- Resilient, resourceful, and an expert at managing a busy workload with competing priorities.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers over the phone and in the field.
- Support and troubleshoot the design, construction, installation, maintenance, repair, and operation of McCrometer's instrumentation.
- Provide hands-on support for installation or diagnostic/repair work at customer locations.
- Complete field work in Southern Nebraska / around McCook, Alma, Holdredge and Imperial, NE area.
- Occasionally travel out-of-state and out-of-country for work assignments.
- Anticipate occasional overnight stays, with some assignments requiring up to one week of overnight stays.
