About The Position

Performance Electrical Contracting is hiring a service electrician in Jacksonville, Florida, to handle commercial and residential service calls independently. The electrician will diagnose and repair electrical issues, complete installations and repairs, test finished work, maintain a clean job site, communicate with customers, mentor helpers, and follow safety rules and OSHA requirements. The role calls for several years of commercial and residential electrician experience, a valid Journeyman Electrician license or state equivalent, knowledge of applicable codes, and the ability to work with little to no supervision.

Requirements

Several years of experience as an electrician in commercial and residential settings.
Valid Journeyman Electrician license or state equivalent.
Solid knowledge of commercial and residential electrical codes.
Proven ability to work independently without a crew.
Good attitude and comfort dealing with customers face to face.
Valid driver's license with a clean record.

Nice To Haves

Master Electrician license.
Completion of a registered electrical apprenticeship program.
Experience training helpers or apprentices.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical issues on commercial and residential service calls.
Install and repair wiring, panels, fixtures, outlets, switches, and other electrical components.
Run jobs from start to finish with little to no supervision.
Test completed work before leaving the job site.
Keep the job site neat and clean up after completing work.
Communicate with customers and explain findings and repairs.
Teach and mentor helpers.
Follow safety rules and OSHA requirements on every job.
