About The Position

Five Star Heating & Cooling, a Southern Home Services company, is seeking a Service Electrician to perform residential electrical work. The role involves troubleshooting, installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems while following applicable safety standards and codes. The electrician diagnoses issues, completes repairs or replacements, and communicates problems, options, and recommendations to homeowners. The position requires technical expertise, strong problem-solving and customer-service skills, and the ability to meet the physical demands of field work in varied indoor and outdoor environments.

Over 2 years of electrical experience, preferably focused on residential projects.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required; lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Ability to climb ladders, access attics and crawlspaces, navigate tight spaces, and perform pushing, carrying, pulling, and fine-detail work.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, handle or feel objects or controls, reach, stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.
Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to extreme heat or cold and adverse weather conditions such as wind, rain, ice, or snow.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and troubleshoot residential electrical systems, identify issues, and perform repairs to restore functionality.
Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, switches, and circuit breakers.
Explain electrical problems to customers, present repair or replacement options, and provide clear recommendations.
Perform basic wiring tasks, including installing disconnects, whips, branch circuits, breakers, and other electrical accessories.
Use and maintain tools, equipment, and materials commonly used in the electrical trade.
Apply electrical codes and regulations to ensure work complies with local, state, and national standards and maintain job-site safety.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
