About The Position

Southern Home Services is a residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical company that acquires, owns, and operates businesses across the United States. C.M. Mose & Son, a Southern Home Services company, is seeking a Service Electrician to perform residential electrical service work. The role involves troubleshooting, installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems while following applicable safety standards and codes. The electrician will diagnose problems, complete repairs or replacements, and explain issues and available solutions to homeowners. The position includes physical work in indoor and outdoor environments, including attics and crawlspaces, and requires regular exposure to extreme temperatures and adverse weather. Requirements

At least 2 years of residential or light commercial electrical experience.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to drive.
Positive attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to engage effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
Adaptability, flexibility, creativity, and ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required; the role also involves regularly lifting 50 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds.
Ability to perform the physical tasks described, including climbing ladders, accessing attics and crawlspaces, navigating tight spaces, pushing, carrying, pulling, using hand tools, performing fine-detail work, standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and regularly stooping, kneeling, bending, and crouching.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors, including in attics and crawlspaces, with regular exposure to extreme heat or cold and adverse weather such as wind, rain, ice, or snow.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and troubleshoot residential electrical systems, identify issues, and perform repairs to restore functionality.
Install, repair, and maintain wiring, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and other electrical systems and accessories.
Communicate electrical problems to customers, explain repair or replacement options, and provide recommendations.
Perform basic wiring tasks, including installing disconnects, whips, branch circuits, breakers, and other electrical accessories.
Use and maintain tools, equipment, and materials used in the electrical trade.
Apply electrical codes and regulations to ensure work complies with local, state, and national standards and maintain job-site safety.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
