The Service Drive Technician is responsible for maintaining the vehicle lot to ensure organization for service, monitoring workflow to ensure cars are efficiently moving within and out of the shop for repairs and customer delivery. This role involves moving and relocating cars, ensuring vehicles have full tanks of fuel, and may assist with oil changes, tire rotations, emptying oil buckets, and collecting large parts and batteries from the shop. The technician will also verify receipt of vehicles and perform damage inspections, provide assistance to the workshop by completing tasks defined by the trainer/team leader or Shop Foreman, and keep supplies like snacks, sodas, and coffee stocked. It is crucial to work with due diligence to complete designated tasks and vehicular repairs to avoid additional damage to customer vehicles and to follow all rules of the road and posted speed limits while driving customer and dealership-owned vehicles on road tests.
