As a Service Desk, you will be the first point of contact for customers seeking assistance or information at the grocery store. Your role involves providing friendly and efficient service, handling customer inquiries and concerns, and performing various administrative tasks. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in using office equipment, such as computers, phones, and printers.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull heavy carts.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment is preferred but not required.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers as they approach the service desk and provide assistance as needed.
  • Answer customer inquiries in person, over the phone, or via email, providing information about store services, policies, and products.
  • Process returns, exchanges, and refunds according to store policies, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist customers with placing special orders, including deli trays, bakery items, and floral arrangements.
  • Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, resolving issues to the best of your ability.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as processing lottery tickets, money orders, and Western Union transactions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization at the service desk area, including keeping counters and displays neat and tidy.
  • Assist with other tasks as assigned by store management to ensure smooth store operations.
  • Monitor front end employees and the lines of the checking stands to see where additional assistance is needed.
